USB "Lamps"
Anyone have one of these? I do, it's pretty much a mini light bulb that gets power via USB. You plug it in to your desktop or laptop, and it will give off light. It's ideal for when your in the car late at night, or when you don't want turn on the lights since you just need a bit of light for the PC.

Haven’t seen one yet, but the other day I saw a usb vacuum cleaner at a mall. Chinese made and really small and light, but I wonder how I will clean my computer with it since I normally power down my computer while cleaning it.
oh yes, have seen a usb ashtray as well. good gadget to gift to your smoky friends.

RE: USB "Lamps"
Abit pointless if you ask me! Why don't you just have your laptop giving you light!
I have heard of wilder things like a tea cup warmer and stuff! Madness Madness!

It's more a novelty really, a long with the tons of other USB gadgets that exist. The only ones that are truly useful are the flash drives, and any external accessory like hard drive etc.

RE: USB "Lamps"
Hi TechDude,
I think you should use lava usb lamps. Here some profile of lava usb lamps,
This instruct able describes the building of a USB powered and controlled set of lava lamps from a USB keyboard and two Think Geek USB lava lamps using a simple transistor relay switch circuit driven by the keyboard LEDs. It illustrates a simple way to control up to three high-latency switches (at up to 120volts, 0.5 amps) over a USB connection, for a minimal amount of money (0$ to 40$ depending on your junk collection), and without having to program a USB serial control driver or a micro controller.
Thanks for sharing this information.
